Amy + Brian - Wedding

It's hard to sum up a wedding day with words. But it's even harder trying to use words to describe Amy and Brian. They are just flat out wonderful. Here's something that will give you blogsters a glimpse of their beautiful hearts... They both went to college in Abilene, and a greeter from a Wal-Mart there came to Lubbock for their wedding. BOOM.

two years!

That's right, blogworld. Jordan and I have been married for a whole TWO years! I'm not going to write a novel or anything, but I just wanted to share that :) All I know is that I have the most loving, God-honoring and hilarious husband, and these past two years have been the best. And he's a fox.

Amy Jones- Bridal

Right before the wedding yesterday, Brian saw me walking around with Amy's bouquet, and as he was admiring it and all, he said, "Amy is going to be the easiest bride ever - she's just so beautiful." I agreed.

She has such a radiant, natural beauty that fills the room, and she doesn't even have to try. And I must say, I love being one of the first to see these lovely brides all done up :) Here are some photos from our bridal session a while back.

Amy + Brian - Rehearsal

I'm about to make my way to Ulta, where the beaaaaautiful bride is getting her makeup done this morning, but I thought I'd post a few photos from last night's festivities before I left. Enjoy!

I wish I knew what ol Gramps said right before I took this one... Love their reactions!

A sweet moment between Amy and her mom

Amy later told me that as she started tearing up at this point, she told her dad (the pastor) to "say a cuss word." That didn't work, so she then tried, "say something inappropriate." Haha I love it!

Off the the rehearsal dinner!

Some toasts...

Drake

He's been riding since he was three. THREE YEARS OLD!! His mom showed me a little picture of 3-year-old Drake on his itty bitty dirtbike and I think I almost cried it was so cute.

Shooting a senior with a dirtbike was definitely a first, but it was so much fun, and I even got a little ride out of the deal! Drake will probably be famous someday, so I'll hold on to that one :)

We took a couple normal ones before he got all suited up.

woohooo!

mitchell FINALLY let me take some of him... it wasn't easy :)

Where I've been....

South Dakota! That's where.

We grew up having HUGE family reunions every summer - we even had t-shirts custom designed each year :) Well, once my grandpa passed away, it seemed like it got harder to round everyone up each summer, so the reunions kinda fizzled away.

Well, I'm glad someone finally put their foot down, because I think last weekend was a reminder to all of us that we have a dang cool family who needs to see each other more often! Over 50 peeps got to come and our days were filled with games, no cell phone service and lots and lots of fireworks. I think we all wished it could have lasted longer!

Here are some highlights from our trip to the farm.

What says 4th of July more than a precious girl sportin' a koolaid mustache while playing with her red, white and blue necklace?

we've almost been married TWO years. cuuuhhrazy

Note the frog on the head... I would maybe be lying if I said it wasn't my idea :)

Blog world, meet my mom and dad!! baaaahaha. Nice cutoffs, dad. No, no, I'm sure they were in style.

The smoke you see behind their chairs is from a firecracker lit by the trickster walking away... practical jokes are awesome.

Jake

Last time I took pictures of Jake, he was just a little guy. Now, he's walking around with his cute little strut, and babbling up a storm. I love getting to see kids grow :)
